Similar situation here. My PGWP Renewal (Passport Expiry) was received on Feb 5, and I'm still not able to link my application online.

Extension PGWP - paper sent to Edmonton - sent Feb 12

Update: I called IRCC again in the early morning of Ottawa time (8 am). The waiting time was 7 minutes. The update was, "They have the application, but it is in pre-processing, and no application number has been assigned yet, but they have it is their hands." So I have to keep calling again in a couple of days to get the application number and link it to my profile.

Yes we got it approved. But processing time was a month longer. I don't remember the address, and was trying to find it on the website for you, but unable to find it, not sure if we can still apply through paper.

My paper application was received on Feb 5, and I'm still not able to link my application online. I called them a few days ago and they said that they have the application but still processing it to check if I sent all the documents. Absolute non-sense.

PGWP EXTENTION - paper application

after 2 month if sending my application , I have no proof that shows I have applied, I have to quit my job per my employer decision or apply online and show that I have applied. Any suggestion? I am very stressed

IRCC says it doesn’t provide acknowledgement of receipt (AOR) for paper based applications. They will advise you to submit an electronic application which in my opinion is an avenue to exploit applicants! The other thing is that they will send you those generic emails saying you have maintained status but it doesn’t indicate that you have applied and that they have received your application! So that is as good as useless! The last viable option is to explore ways to link your paper based application to your online profile. But this will require you to have your file/application number. Next best step is to call IRCC and ask if they have since created a temporary file which has an XW plus some digits.If you get hold of that number, then you can use it to link your paper application with the online profile. I have been through this since December 11, 2023 and I fully understand your frustration!
