If you get into UCalgary that's better I suppose, and more engineering jobs in Alberta with better PR prospects. But just confirm with them when they'll give admits. Cuz you'll have to pay for Ottawa admit soon, so you'll have to manage it

It should be in the offer letter or some kind of steps to follow for new students. You can always mail them. The staff I'd usually very helpful.

30 credits should be 1 year full-time or 2 years or longer part-time. If I just check a sample MS in Ryerson univ it says Minimum Time-to-Completion for FullTime studies is 1 year/3 terms. Good luck

A) depends on the length of the program. If the program is less than 2 years then the PGWP will be the duration of time spent studying in Canada. If the course is 2 years and more then a 3-year PGWP is issued.

B) If summer break is a regularly scheduled break by your university then yes you can. You cannot take a semester break on your own, you have to study continuously not including scheduled holidays.

C) Most universities have a summer break, there are generally no classes during summer. You can check it up with your concerned University, it will be mentioned in their calendar.

D) Generally, when you complete a program earlier than the scheduled time of the program completion you will get a PGWP based on the duration in the offer letter, not the actual time you took to complete it. You will have to check this with your University for further details and clarification as usually, this is not the case. You should not be penalized for finishing early in most cases. I doubt you can cram 2 years of masters into 1 year though.

I recently noticed a change in the pgwp 's validity section of the cic website. I am amazed to see no thread /discussion regarding it. Even I personally found the wording very confusing. Can anyone please comment what they think about the update?

"Note: If the officer notes that the duration of studies was shorter than the duration of the program, as indicated in the letter confirming the completion of the program of study, and the program was not completed in an accelerated form, the post‑graduation work permit may be issued in accordance with the duration of studies. For example, if the applicant undertook classes for a period of 12 months, not in an accelerated form, but their degree notes that it is a 2‑year degree, the post-graduation work permit may be issued for 12 months, in accordance with the duration of their studies."

Would like to know what this means for us. The first few sentences sounds okay, but I got lost with the phrase "accelerated form". Does it mean overloading on units and finishing the program early? The example given is not clear either, at least for me...
Please help interpreting this?

What is the overall 4 terms fees of University of Ottawa and what are the chances of getting with 8.15 cgpa in B.tech in CSE with 13 yrs exp
