Hi, anyone here ever received a study permit or study permit extension refusal as an international student, and then subsequently applied for PGWP? Was your application for PGWP approved or refused?
How did the SP refusal affect your PGWP application? What extra documents or information did you need to include in your PGWP application?
Please mention any other factors (funds, country of origin, circumstances, etc) that might have affected the outcome of your PGWP?
My SP extension was refused on 26 Jan as I submitted the wrong document, letter of acceptance instead of enrolment, and i had been hoping to apply for PGWP in a few months... instead i'm now waiting on my restoration of student status, so frustrating. Hoping to hear others' experiences. Thanks

I think it is best you talk to some Immigration Lawyer since your case is not that straightforward now. On the refusal letter, it is clearly mentioned for you leave the country immediately if you are out of status. If you don't self-remove yourself, in my understanding the removal letter changes to deportation order after 30 days automatically.

My letter does not state that. I actually already had a flight ticket booked, but two immigration consultants said I should apply for restoration immediately; if I were to leave the country I would need to reapply for a new study permit and essentially not have enough study time on it to qualify for PGWP.
Were you ever in this situation? If so, can you share your experience?

Thank you, yes I have stated in my original post that I am awaiting restoration.
I am asking about other peoples' experiences. I'm not asking what I should do based on your assumptions about my situation. I will definitely have questions when I have heard some scenarios, but I'm not there yet, please share experiences not advice

Just clarifying because you said your are waiting for restoration of your student status. Many are unaware that restoration does not lead to a return to student status.
