To provide some context, I studied an AEC in Montreal with a duration of 1 year, which resulted in the issuance of a 1-year post-graduation work permit. Now, with my permit soon to expire, I would like to retain my permanent position in the field of procurement. I would greatly appreciate receiving advice and guidance on how to achieve this. And I take this opportunity to ask, in case my employer wants to go through the LMIA process, do I need to stop working after the completion of my PGWP, but can I stay in Canada with my tourist visa, or do I need to leave the country?
