Hi!

My prospective options to stay in Canada are getting scarier as soon as I noticed that I am not eligible to reapply for a second PGWP, and would like to know what other choices do I have.

To give a timeline of my current situation:
- Graduated from a Bachelor in June 2012 and issued a PGWP
- Worked for a few months but not enough for the requirements for PR application
- Returned to school for a Master program (reapplied for student permit)
- PGWP expired during June 2015
- Finished all requirements for Master program on January 2016, student permit will expire on March 2016

I am already in talks with an employer and a written job offer should be coming within the next few days. However, I was originally under the assumption that I could reapply for a new PGWP, but this seems to be wrong.

What other options do I have other than:
- Apply for PNP under Master stream and wait for nomination to apply for work permit
- Ask the employer for LMIA

If there are no other options, what will happen if I can't apply for a work permit within Canada during the wait for either of these options?

Thank you.

You do not qualify for a second PGWP. You can only hold a PGWP once and you have already used up your one time.

The two options you have listed are your only two options.

If you can't obtain a work permit then you will either have to leave Canada or apply to change your status in Canada to visitor (you obviously won't be able to work).
