pending study permit extension and need to apply pgwp

Hi

I just want to ask about my situation .. My study permit was expired last july 26 2024 and we applied for my student permit extension last march 21 2024 with my spouse permit .. Until now there is no decision in my application .. I am graduating this coming Aug 16 2024 and my completion letter will be on Aug 27 2024 .. Can I still apply my PGWP with my Spouse Open Work Permit even if I have pending study permit application ??

follow up question : Can we both work after applying my PGWP with pending study permit extension application ? Thank you for answering

Yes you can apply for your PGWP.
second, for your SOWP, you can only apply if you have PGWP and Employment letter on your hand with 3 paystubs,

yes i have employment letter and 3 paystub .. after applying for my pgwp with my sowp , is he allow to work again after applying it ??

i mean he (sowp) still can work even if i applied my pgwp with no valid study permit (pending extension app)

You can start working as soon as you apply for PGWP, but your husband can only start working once he get WP approval.

He won’t get any implied status.

Then sooner you get your completion letter or transcript whichever is earlier. Stop working and apply for PGWP. Then you can start working, but your husband can only start working once he get Work Permit Approval.

hello Aneep kumar, my study permit expired on 31st march and i applied extension for study permit on 12th of feb and i applied pgwp on 6th july. i didn't receive WP-EXT letter. i have only submission confirmation letter of pgwp. am i eligible to work in canada ? i consulted with lawyer and he confirms that m not eligible to work in canada.
