PCC from UAE

Hi Has Anyone obtained PCC from UAE, Sharjah/ Ajman or any emirates?
I am stuck as Sharjah police is asking something not written in the UAE Embassy in Ottawa, the Ottawa Consulate is also consfused when I told them that Shaj Police is asking to go to a Foreign Office in Abu Dhabi before issuing the PCC.

I m in big fix?

I was in the same boat as you following is my experience

I used to live in sharjah on a student visa, i transffered uni to calgary, however I was asked for a PCC from UAE. I first tried contacting sharjah police, my friends inquired and they were given the same story that i need to come down to abudhabi and xyz crap. In this whole process i realized that a pcc issued from dubai police is same as sharjah police and dubai police are much more enlightened with regards to this requirement. so I got my finger prints attested from uae counsalate, public notary and foreign office of Canada. there is actualy a firm in ottawa that does all the leg work of attesting ur docs from uae counsalate and foriegn office. so once that was done, I mailed my finger prints along with pics, visa copy and passport copy to my friend in dubai. it cost another 200 or so dhs to get the pcc. it took him 2 days to get this done.

Sharjah police so unprofessional, Dubai is always on top of the issues..dat's why it's a world class city..
