I need PCC, as currently i am staying in hyderabad from Mar 2008, but my passport was issued from dehradoon, do i need to get PCC from hyderabad or from Dehradoon. firstly if i get it from Dehradoon will it work?. Secondly passport issued date is less then six months, do i need to still require PCC?. If anybody from hyderabad got PCC, please guide me a way out of it?
PCC is only issued on the address mentioned in passport. One PCC is enough. Hyderabad police will not issue you PCC. If you want from Hyderabed then 1st change address on your passport.
For issuing PCC you would have to visit SSP/ Commissioners office and move application for PCC, along with copy of proof of residence, pay nominal fee. That application will travel to local police station and there you would have to produce two people of your locality who know u and vouch for you, your police record will be checked and the again the application will travel to SSP office , who will issue you PCC. It takes 6-7 days.
PCC can be issued from RPO also. That application also travels to SSP Office and Local police station and back to RPO.
If you get PCC from Dehradun , that will also work.

I am afraid if i get my PCC from dehradun,it would impact my case negatively? or it is just my doubt.....
i checked with RPO but they are asking for local ration card\others proof(DL\bank account)), but i cant show any such proof , so i think its better if i get it from doon as there i have proof of everytihing.
if get my PCC from doon, do i need to mention there that i am staying in hyderabad and do the doon police will check wid hyderabad police?
PCC is country specific, one PCC for one country, it does not matter Dehradun or hyderabad, Hyderabad will not issue u PCC so go ahead fly to Dehradun and get PCC.
thanks!!, i was going through another thread, it was written it may cause an issue in background checking time, if i get PCC from doon,as i have mentioned my stay in hyderabad in my application and i am currently staying in hydearbad. if get my PCC from doon, then there again i cant show them that i m staying in hyderabad otherwise they will ask for some legal papers like ration card\nationalise bank acoount, bla bla. and they will issue pcc for permenent address only(uttarakhand.)You were right, i checked with hyderabad police commisionriate and they r not ready to issue me pcc frm hyd.
