PCC for NRI's

Hi

I wanted to know how to obtain PCC if I am living outside India (US to be specific)?
Do I have to get PCC from India or from FBI in US?

This page says I have to consult Embassy, any information on this?

you have to apply to the embassy or consular office that serves your state. Here's the info for the Embassy in Washington, DC -

Seems like PCC from FBI is taking too much time(around 14 weeks or 3.5 months)

The validity of ITA(if issued) is only for 60 days(and PCC from FBI takes around 100 days)

CIC should have allowed people under express entry with ITA to submit the PCC later along with medicals(just like last year 2014)
