PCC application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate

Hi,

After PCC initiated state, I got it clear by regional police station and again it's status coming as under review. Ideally, it was suppose to change to 'PCC is Clear' or something else. But why below state again?

PCC Application is submitted
PCC application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate.
PCC verification initiated with police station.

Now again , it's PCC application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate. Why???

So, status will get changed directly from

Status on Passport Seva Portal - PCC application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate.

to

Status updated - PCC is clear ??



It changed in between to 'Police Verification has been initiated .... ' for my application and again it moved back to below status after I submitted adhaar, photo at local police station today

@muthuganesh , I don't remember the timeline right now. It took around 6-7 weeks to receive PCC after sending the application

Got my PCC after that . I think there is some issue in the status. It totally took 6 weeks for me

I applied for PCC from Toronto on March 21. My local police station received my application on April 19. Due to the upcoming elections in Mumbai, they are not verifying my documents. I received my ITA on April 11 & need to submit the application by June 10. My parents went to the police station with the documents. But they replied that they would come home for verification in the next 15 days.
Is there a way to expedite this process?

Around 5 weeks in total :
Mostly Time taken by BLS 15 days just to update that we receive your application and the 10 days taken by Vancouver general consulate India- for printing PCC After clear report.

Nope After clear report : took 10 -12 days
10 days just to print the pcc and 2 days for purolator shipment.

my status on PCC still reflects “Application under review at Indian embassy/ consulate. Does that mean it’s in Canada’s Indian embassy? How long did it take for your process to move from this status.
