So I was about to pay for my application and got a "Our online services are currently down" message on my screen. Website is either currently being updated or it's experiencing technical difficulties.
When I got back to my account page on cic.gov.ca, I saw my status as "processing payment" and couldn't view my application anymore. I haven't even entered my credit card details.

Wait for sometime, if the payment failed, you will see the Continue Application button again. You can then submit your application again after payment.
