Hi
I am in Canada and sponsoring my wife. My wife is is currently in India. When I tried to pay fees online, I saw two section:
1) Family Class
2)Spouse and Common Law Partner In Canada Class

Which section should I choose to pay fees online.

Thanks alot

You are applying outland, therefore "Family Class". The second option is for in-land applications, thus "Spouse and Common Law Partner IN Canada Class" though I do see how it can be confusing. Good luck!

hey thanks.

I will select first option.

I have one more question. Can I write name, address, date on receipt by hand or do I have to type? And I have to include my name as a payer, i mean information of sponsor, right?

By hand is perfectly fine, I didn't even know you could type it! Sponsor information goes on the receipt. Fill in Client ID Number ONLY if you have one (I think you do if you were a PR yourself? Not sure). If you do not have one, leave it blank.

hey thanks alot.

I think I have client ID on PR card. On PR card, There is id no.: 8 digit

is it client id?

I'm not sure, challenger. Try searching on the forum, or hopefully someone else will pop on here. Good luck!

No, you don't write that there. Client ID is for/if the applicant (the person being sponsored) had received any sort of immigration document in the past. They are issued a client ID. This form is generic. It's also used for other immigration applications. For example, a foreign student now applying for a post-grad work permit. They would put their client ID in this space. If the person you are sponsoring has never had any immigration document from Canada, leave it blank.
