I am sponsoring my wife. In the online payment chart, there is a section to pay for "principal applicant" which is my spouse in this matter.
My question is, why is there another payment section (4th down) for "spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner" when I am already paying for the principal applicant? Do I pay both or just one of them?

The total fees should be $1040 ( unless they updated them) my guess the spouse and partner fee would be if you are applying for your parents to come. That's the way I understood when I paid it. Others may have more insight.

The $550 "spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner" fee is when a person AND their spouse are being sponsored, such as parent or grandparent sponsorship. You don't pay that for a spousal app.
