Today I went to a bank for issuing a bank draft (application under FSW 1). I was told by the bank that the receiver bank (or the correspondent bank) might deduct some amount. If that's the case, I am afraid that my payment will be considered "under payment". The bank also told me that they were not sure how much the deduction would be (it depends on the receiver/correspondent bank).
Does the bank that you are getting a draft from has a branch in Canada? If not then I will suggest you to get a draft from a Bank that has got a Branch in Canada. I got a draft from a Bank that has got a branch in Toronto. The draft that I got was for CAD $550. There should not be any deductions in that case.
