Hi there, I've been married for about 4 months and looking to sponsor my husband to Canada. I was on Social Assistance for a couple months at a time for the years 2013-2015 because I was having a very hard time finding work. I worked a bit in 2014 and into 2015. I've also been doing full time school in, Nursing and finished in December 2017.
I got married in December 2017 and I'm now working full-time as a PSW, writing the exam for my jusring licence soon.
I understand that 5 years of work history is now required in the application. Will my previous Social Assistance History affect my chances of being eligible to sponsor my husband? Thanks to everyone that replies.
Hi there, I think on the requirements it says that only the pawpast 12 months matter in regard to not having asked for social assistance... so it has to be absolutely fine.
Also, thay cannot deny PR bec of the sponsor having low income.
