How long did it take for you after submission of passport? Can you please share your timeline after ppr?
just curious so i know what to expect since i just had mine submitted yesterday.. Tia!

Based on this FAQs [http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=748&top=22] we can book an appointment to land by filling out CSE, did anyone heard about something like that before?

I heard about it but I believe most people prefer to do flag-poling if inland. A bit more exciting than just going to a CIC office. ;D

Not sure why my file took too long for approval but I saw USIndian having the same issue, didn't get approved after 2 weeks but on approved date they also sent back passports. So I dont understand how they work.

I don't know how it works. But I am still waiting for my tracker to et activated. Called cic and they said it's in the queue. Got a reply from cic saying it will be sent to you shorty. But now it's already 2 days. Really don't know how they operate. It's more then 3 weeks now.
Pp sent - 22nd.
Pp received - 24th aug.
file closed and approved - 1st sept.

No updates since...! Anyone with me on the same boat?

Better not to understand or this process will drive you nut and just keep checking I guess. It's hard not to lose our patience I can completely relate to how you feel because in my case I had no clue too until the day I receive the visa. But judging from your timeline you should have got visas before me if there is actually a queue. Hopefully your tracker will get activated this evening. I am positive with that.

The nearest border is at 3 hr drive and I'm bit lazy to do it.

Oh wow. Pretty quick for you. just one week wait. Congrats!!!
I guess now Ottawa has changed. They wont approve the app until visas are printed and then they will mail visas back on same day.
