Good to find this thread. I submitted at Abuja on 17th January, 2023. Am surprised those submitted December hasn’t gotten yet.

You may be lucky. There were many breaks in December... but just prepare your mind sha. Anything can happen.

Not yet. Often it’s after the passports have been dispatched from the embassy.

I got the below email same day:

Dear Mr/MS xxxxxxxxxxxc

Visa Application tracking id no xxxxxxxxxxx has been received at the VAC on 2023-01-17 09:06:26 AM. Please find attached the e-ICR (Invoice cum receipt) for your record & reference.

The following day, I got another email for each family members below:

Your application, tracking ID No. xxxxxxxxxx is in transit and has been dispatched to the IRCC Office through the Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja Office, on Tue Jan 17 2023 for processing. For further details, please contact the VAC helpline number or refer to our website at: https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/Nigeria

I tracked via their website using the tracking No and get the below response:

Your application, tracking ID No. is in transit and has been dispatched to the IRCC Office through the Office, on for processing. For further details, please contact the VAC helpline number or refer to our website at: https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/Nigeria

This is the update I received on the 22nd of December last year.
