I really do not understand why Accra is taking forever to stamp passports. Mine was delivered at VFS Abuja since 29 May 2024 and the update received so far since 5 June...reads:


"Visa application, tracking ID No. XXXXXXXXXXX The envelope for the decision on the results of your visa that has been processed has been received at the Canadian Visa Application Center at Ghana OC, on the date. We will then send this to the Canadian Visa Application Center Ghana OC"

Initially, I thought this meant our passports have been stamped and on their way but after a little more research, I discovered otherwise.

I don't really get why these things are like this.

I will say contact VFS, ours did not take too long to get to IRCC in Ghana.

I have severally, and all I keep getting is that my application is still being processed at the embassy, and that I will get an update once it is ready for collection.

In our experience, passport submitted to VFS on February 21, 2024, which was despatched to Accra visa office the same day. Got email to pick up on March 19, 2024. So roughly 26 days. I will say the average time for visa stampeding is 3-4 weeks
