Passport validity to enter to Canada from UAE as a student -- Urgent

I am going to Canada for phd study from UAE Dubai.

My ticket date : 29-July-2012

Visa expiry date: 19-September-2012

Passport expiry date: 17-October-2012

Is there any minimum passport validity requirement to enter to Canada????

Please help me.

I hope you can complete your PHD in two and a half months, as your study permit will only be valid until the expiry of your passport, 17/Oct/2012.

As I said, you will only be admitted to the expiry date of your passport. So you better extend it.

During my journey to Canada nobody at immigration of Dubai , Doha, London, Vancouver, asked me of expiry of passport......

So, it's mean that it is not important,.....
