Passport Transit Time - CPP Ottawa

They emailed me this morning after I had emailed them last night and they replied with an email saying my "passport will be returned shortly". They said the exact same thing in an email 2 weeks ago. They also said they have large volume of approved applications and that there will be a delay.

Applied: October 4th
Passport Request: October 20th
Passport received at CPP Ottawa: October 23rd
Status changed to approved: November 8th

No tracker activation yet, November 15th.

I submitted my passport for visa issuance on 7th Nov-17 (through canada post xpresspost) and it reached on 8th nov-17 to there mailing address. I am very concerned about my passports after that there is no single update from CPC-Ottawa.

Could you guys please suggest me "will CPC-ottawa update the status once they have received the passports from there mailing address" .

Your response is highly appreciated.

Nope, it doesn't update. The next update on your CIC account show say "Approved". Dont worry, if the tracker says it was delivered, it means its delivered

just checked my cic account and it shows the update status. They have put the counterfoil on my passport. But dunno when it will be posted to me.

It should be updated next week. I delivered my passport on 31th oct. And approved today. So next week your application will be approved
