I have a situation and wondering if there is any solution for this.
I have a child who was born outside Canada and we successfully got his TRV, to bring him with us in Canada. I have applied for family class sponsorship (Outland) with visa office as New Delhi. The file is already in process.
Now what I am wondering is, will New Delhi office ask us to submit passport in New Delhi or I can get visa stamped from within Canada? While submitting application, I submitted by child's address as canadian address.
Anyone with similar situation please comment.
I know, per rules, it is illegal to send passports to/from India.

From what I understand, yes. I didn't apply via NDVO, but I've read a few cases of children and it seems like the parents (and child) had to travel back to ND and give the passport to them and live there for several months

Or is this practicly doable? Either one of us (my wife in our case as I am sponsor) travel to JUST submit passport, courier it NDVO and comeback. When we receive passport stamped at our addresss there, either one of us travel JUST to take passport back?
I know it is costly option too...
Another option is to send it via a friend/relative with an Authorization letter, as I have read on few threads here?
Hi Awebus,
Did you find a solution to your problem? We are in a similar situation.
Also wondering what to fill as the residential and mailing address. My child is here on a 6-month TRV and we're applying outland to NDVO.
Did your sponsorship approval arrive without any problem? Hope it did.
Best,
MsMSS
