Hello Everyone! I'm now officially a permanent resident of Canada. I did my landing at the Regway border 4hrs southeast from Saskatoon to where I'm from. Officers question were:
1)Where do you work? (PLACE AND COMPANY NAME)
2)What do you do?
3)When's your next shift?
That's everything, I sat for approx 5-7min then the officer came back and asked me to sign both copies of copr. Showed me the crossed out single entry immigrant visa and that's it. Nicest part? a greeting from the officer telling me "Congratulations you are now a permanent resident of Canada" with a lil smile on his face.
Then after, he explained that PR card can be received now as early as 2 weeks wait. Also he explained about SIN and other info on the welcome sheet as PR. Since I went to the border as early as 8am, I went straight to Service Canada and have my SIN changed as well.
It took me 10-15 min for everything. That includes my driving time to the US border until i got back to my vehicle as PR with a smile.
Thanks y'all! It was a very tough journey, yet it was all worth it. Congratulations to all of us!
Congrats!!!
Not yet.. I am currently on the trip outside of province. So only way that I can check through GC KEY. There was a ghost update 2 days ago but haven’t seen any changes yet.
Hi,
I sent email to IRCC.PRA-RVPR.IRCC@cic.gc.ca on May 15, and received no automated response (that worried me a lot). thinking if i should raise a web form request as well?
have you received an automated response?
thanks

Congrats! When did you land? Haha, I think he knows 2 weeks now because when he said that I have to wait 3 months to get my PR card, I said from CIC website it only takes 13 days right now, and he was shocked. I landed at Regway on May 22, Wednesday
