passport request

Hey All

I receive passport request today and think to send my passport soon. The letter dates on Jan 27,2010.

I have a question here though, my old passport was expired last June,2009, and I got renewal and send the copy of new passport to NY office. However, all my legal previous visa (although expired already) from other countries are on the old passport. Nothing on the new passport, so do I only send the new passport for visa stamp or I need to send them both passports to prove I have legal status ?

Hi,

Keep your current passport on top and stapple the old passport to it at bottom. Then send both together.

Firstly, CONGRATS !!!

Secondly, if your 'old' pp was mentioned anytime in the apps, u'll have to send the 'old' pp as well -alongwith the 'new' booklet.

No, I have not received CAIPS yet but I know other who ordered almost the same time, received yesterday, I think mine is on the way.

I will do so. I just realized my old passport was spilled water after it expired. But all information is still visible. It just looks not good. Is it still ok?

Congratulatons!! Huanhuan, when did you send your FBI clearance update to the CIC? How long did it take for you to receive it from the FBI?

I did not send FBI to NY office until they requested Dec 3, 2009. However, I applied FBI back to July and got it issued on Sep 18, 2009. I sent this FBI to NY office on Jan 5, 2010. I belive they received the next day.

I also sent UK PCC with FBI as requested. UK PCC is even older (July,2009). It seems fine.


Have a question:

Just called my agent about passport thing, I have notified them(scanned the new one to them) last March right after I renewed my passport. However, they seems notify NY office in July as previous agent told me. However, right now, my current agent cannot confirm if they notified NY office already. I am worried about if this will cause some problems or not even if I send my expired passport?
They made a nice cover letter for me though,

Regarding your passport, I think such a nice cover letter should be fine.
