Passport request for Super visa while visiting Canada

@jessicaliudong - supervisa is no longer being stamped at Ottawa office even for exceptional cases. I called them up and confirmed the same. Best way forward is to send the passport to US (Los Angelose or NY whichever is closer to you). I'm still in the process for my mom's stamping. Will let you know if that works.

Yes, I added an explanation letter. Please make sure you send the package transmission fee money order or draft in USD

Hi @vcole have you shipped to Los Angeles yet? If yes, since Fedex & VFS 2 way courier services does not apply in this case, what courier service did you opt for? Any info on forward and return shipping will be helpful.

Hi @celinegv, sorry just saw your messages. I eventually heard back from IRCC after numerous web forms and got a new passport request letter issued for another 30 days. My mom had to renew her passport as it was expiring in a few months. Just got the new passport back and shipping to Los Angeles VAC with UPS - including a prepaid return label as well and the money order for package transmission fee in USD. I hope this helps. Let me know how things go on your end.

I want guidance regarding my parent's supervisa. They have one prior visit visa refusal. Now appplying for supervisa. I should apply via ircc portal or gckey? Can anyone guide me, is there any difference about the acceptance rate between these two?

My mother travelled to Canada while her SuperVisa was being processed and she is still here. She was asked to submit the passport for stamping the Supervisa. I sent my mother's passport to New York and got it back...stamped...in less than 10 days.
Now I am wondering whether she can do a day trip to USA to enter Canada using the Supervisa. Any advice regarding this?

An update:
After the Supervisa was stamped at the New York office and returned to us, we crossed the border to the USA on the weekend and returned the same day. No issues at the borders....although the USA officials found the process hilarious. They could not understand the reason for mom to exit Canada to use the Supervisa. And frankly....neither can I.

Send passport, passport request letter, draft in USD (23.30 USD) addressed to VFS Services (USA) Inc. and consent form to New York or Los Angeles whichever is closest to you.

In my case I used Purolator Express service. You should have the return envelope placed inside the package you sent
