Hi all,
I am a student here in Canada, and had to renew my passport. My PR application is in process (medical done).
When should I notify CIC about the renewed passport? Should I renew my study permit first, or should I just send them a scan of my new passport?
Thanks

Sir
Renew your passport first , The basic document of your identity
Stay Blessed
But, what after that? Should I notify CIC? or should I first renew my study permit?

Notify the CIC after you have thew passport.

notification to the CIC isn't mandatory. when u have PPR, then send both the old passport with the new one attached, visa will be stamped on the new one. no worries.
As per official letters that I received at various stages, every single time instructions were present to notify the VO of any significant changes.
Talk to your legal attorney if you have one.
I would get a new passport and send copies to visa office processing my PR just to be sure.
Regards, SWA
