After applying for permanent immigration and at the end of processing when CIC request to submit passports for visa stamping, i want to know if the passport is about to expire with in 2 to 3 months after receiving CIC letter, what to do? Shall I submit the same passport or renew & submit the renewed passport as this will have new passport number. If I get stamped on old passport then after my renewal how to transfer visa to new passport booklet?
You should get a new passport now as the immigration office will not stamp a passport with less than six month validity period get a new one to avoid delay
