Passport Processing time for normal in person applications

Hey all,

Does anyone who have applied for passport recently in person at the passport office and under normal way (not express/urgent/expedited), how long did it take to receive the passport?

is it always 10 business days or can we get earlier as well? like in 5 days or so.

Reason I am asking is I have to travel for work and need to confirm if i can go or not. I applied normal way.

If it helps, applied in Vancouver.

Applied yesterday, Toronto, normal processing time.They told me that the passport should be received by mail till September 29.
