I want to apply for study Visa for 2 years masters course starting in September, 2016.
Visa Duration Required is: September, 2016 - September 2018
My passport would Expire on July, 2018.
Do I need a new passport? The reason I am asking this is that on the Application checklist it says, "Your passport should be valid for at least six (6) months from the date of
travel to Canada."
So according to the above requirement, my passport is eligible. However, it would expire before the visa duration. Kindly someone clarify
I don't think you do..
I am planning to apply visa for this fall and my passport expires this July, can i extend it before it expires? or i have to wait to apply for new one till the previous one expires?
It is always better to have a passport with validity longer than the duration of your study.
keep in mind that your visa will not be valid more than the passport, even though your study will require more time
I just renewed my passport which have 1 year and 2 month validity, just don't want to go through contacting my country's embassy to renew passport and all that documents, you might as well do the same since you are home !
