Hi everyone!

I currently have a PR application in process; AOR was Feb 7th 2019, Biometrics completed March 28th 2019. My passport expires November 21st 2019.

I'm worried about:

A) The 6 month passport validity rule. If my PR application is approved then would it be okay to make my landing in Canada with less than 6 months of validity. Should I renew my Passport now and tell CIC about it. If so, how do I inform them?

B) I imagine that the visa I would use to make my landing will only be valid until my passport is valid. Whereas the PR card that I get will be valid for 5 years regardless of passport expiry. Can someone confirm this info for me?
