I currently have a PR application in process; AOR was Feb 7th 2019, received my Bio-metrics letter 3 days ago (March 24th 2019). My passport expires November 21st 2019. I was curious whether I should renew my passport now and fill out the online form to add to application.
I'm worried about:
A) The 6 month passport validity rule. If my PR application is approved (knocking on my wooden desk) then would it be okay to make my landing in Canada with less than 6 months of validity
B) I imagine that the visa I would use to make my landing will only be valid until my passport is valid. Whereas the PR card that I get will be valid for 5 years regardless of passport expiry. Can someone confirm this info for me?
