Passport expiring in 6 months

hi folks,
appreciate your help in the past.
my question is related to travelling for landing with a renewed passport.

I got my COPR last month and i need to complete landing before June 2018 since that's when my passport expires. Due to change in plans i wont be travelling immediately. and since i have to renew my passport soon, I would be traveling to Canada with a renewed passport. However, I will carry the current passport with the visa stamp which would then be the expired one.
would that be a problem since the passport number on the COPR would be the one that is expired?

Not a problem, just make sure you have both passports in hand when traveling to Canada. Good Luck!
