Passport expiring during the process of application

Hello, I am wondering, if I am renewing my passport after submission of the application, what are the steps needed to be taken to inform CIC that I will be having a renewed passport soon? In addition to that, I will also extend my PGWP in which case I think I should also inform CIC?

So basically my question is, if there is any change in documents during the period of application, how do i go about informing the officer about this?

You send them a photocopy of the bio data pages. You don't need to send a copy of your new PGWP.

But I do need to call them up and tell them why, right?

I just can't seem to find the section for this information. Person to call, the number, etc

Can't even tell from your message if you have applied yet. Once you submit your application, you have to wait for an "Acknowledgment of Receipt" (AOR). When you receive the AOR, you will receive your file number and instructions for communicating with CIC regarding your application. Until then, you do NOT send any additional application materials - without your file number, they have no way to connect it to your application.
