Fyi. I emailed the consulate today and received a reply so they may observe memorial day next week instead of Victoria day. I think they are open

I emailed Chicago- as it's the office closest to us, which we'd end up having to apply (or do we 'have' to)?
This also is better, I think - having a written reply. Sometimes you talk on the phone and you wonder how you have 'proof' of answers.

That should be interesting as there is no Canadian visa office in Chicago.

It's the office we would send their Certificate of Citizenship to - the consulate.

The consulate did reply saying that was the way, they didn't answer the question regarding traveling / entering with landing.
However I spoke to someone thru the call center and all is good.

Now i just need to get my passport book since it's required to have the medical - and we are paying to expedite it. Filing in 2-3 weeks. Yey!
