our passports and pcc asked by the delhi - embassy ,but they didnt mention anything about visa.is it for stamping .if so how long it will take.
kindly inform if any bodys knows about it.
Probably it is best for some one who has experience with new delhi office to respond. Based on discussions on this forum , it could take some weeks or months after submission of passport to visa office. It may be better if you can visitthe visa office and handover passport in person for stamping. Some visa offices indeed accept this method like buffalo.
applied in 2003.on march 23/2009 they asked fo passports and pcc.in sep 08 finished medicals.is this details enough.i have paid the landing fee also.
also i have some doubts.1.after visa stamping where i have to land any specific place in canada.2.i dont know anybody there.how i can find a house.3.my plans are just get PR and spend sometime to understand canada and visit later for setting.
1. You can Land for the first time anywhere you want in Canada except Quebec, later you can go to Quebec.
2. You are not alone, do the search on internet, look at this forum under settlement issues, that is how people find place to live if they don't have someone there.
3. You can do whatever you want after landing, however to come back to Canada you need a PR card, receive the card first and leave. If you leave without a card then you have to get travel documents from Canadaina embassy from wherever you are going to be and it may be a hassle. To keep your PR status, you need to stay 2 years out of five years in Canada otherwise you lose your PR status. You can also leave and have your friend receive it and mail it to you overseas.
