applied in march 16th for may intake via vfs global (paper application), completed medical and biometrics upfront. this is the first update i received after applying. the point of this thread is to reassure you guys that they are indeed processing visas although at turtle pace.

Hi brother,
I have the a question, I've applied on March 9th, biometrics done on March 11th 2020, on June 29th got an update that my medical has been updated & since then waiting for further response. I have got a deferral from may 2020 to sept 2020, I've mailed ircc a webform in mid June just for an update of they are processing, they said the usual due to covid they cannot say exact processing time, should I also update them with my deferral letter in the web form as of u did or just wait to hear from them, this waiting peroid has exhausted me, plz plz advise.

If you have deferred your semester then you must send the deferred offer letter to them even if they don't ask for it. You should do it becasue if they check on the institution and find that you are enrolled for different semester it will cause problems.

I didn't get a final approval since they didn't ask for passport yet because VAC is still close in my country. But they told me it is aprroved in principle. I tried to upload screenshot here but didn't seem to work.
