Hey guys, i'm a little confused as to where i stand on this full time part time thing and i would really appreciate the help.
i'm a dentist who was working 28 hours a week ( part time) for 4 years due to my studies. My first question is : working 28 hours a week would mean 1344 hours per year, short of the 1560 hours required for the requirements, would i be eligible to apply ? i mean do all part time directly translates to full time ?
Also for my salary, i would be getting a 60% cut of each patient treated, unfortunately there was no contract in my years of service, just direct payment ( basically how dentistry works in egypt), so i cannot include a scan of a contract in my application, BUT i can still provide a reference letter, would that be enough ?
Thank you very much in advance.
Hi,
Refer below url;
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/definitions.asp
For FSW applications received on or after May 4, 2013
Pursuant to R73(1), “full-time work” means at least 30 hours of work over a period of one week, and pursuant to R73(2), “work” means an activity for which wages are paid or commission is earned.

If you have sufficient documents from your employer like Offer letter,Experience letter and Roles and responsibilities letter. then you are good.

Part-time hours are prorated. You could add them up and divide by 30 to get the full-time equivalent (FTE) in weeks, but you easily have enough hours to get credit for 3 years of FTE work.

Reference letter + supporting documents, doesn't necessarily have to be a contract.
you guys have been awesome, thanks so much for the help
