They only requested my passport in March because it was going to expire in August 2015 and it would have affected how long my COPR would have been valid for (your COPR can only be valid as long as your passport is) . They told me to renew my passport and submit the new passport so my COPR would be valid for a longer period.
If my original passport had been valid longer then August 2015 they probably would have never requested it because I am from a visa exempt country.
I thought I would post this so you know what it will look like when you get DM. On ECAS under permanent residence application status it says:
1. We received your application for permanent residence on December 15, 2014.
2. We started processing your application on March 31, 2015.
3. Medical results have been received.
4. A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.
My application never went "in process" or showed "medical results have been received" until I got DM. It went from only showing "We received your application for permanent residence on December 15, 2014 (not even showing medical results have been received)" to Decision Made overnight/all at once.
I guess we should be happy they focus on our application rather than loosing time updating e-cas. At the same time I wish we knew a bit more what's going on and had a better idea of the time frame for our own application.

I need to figure out a way to make the spreadsheet public so that people can edit it without me, if anyone knows how please let me know. I will still come on the forum to see how everyone else is doing, but likely not as frequently after I land and fill everyone in with how it went.
I just changed the settings on the spreadsheet. Can someone please try and add/edit information and tell me if it allows you to now?
I would really like to have this spreadsheet open for editing for all of you and people after you to be able to continue to use. I never meant to have it locked, I am just not very good with this kind of thing.

Payment and birth cetificat were sent on April 27th. I needed a week to received the birth certificat and I sent everything the same day. So almost a month ago now. Nothing have changed on e-cas...maybe we have the same agent!?! I hope to have some news by mid june if we have the same time frame. I'll be just so happy and relief that would be enought time to have the family moved a couple of weeks before school begins.
