My Parent's Visitors Visa was rejected due to below Reasons:
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application. Not sure what this is?
•You do not have significant family ties outside Canada. - They have a dependent child (my brother) living in the same household

I have requested GCMS notes to know more details about the file
Also, the Eligibility requirement section says: We regret to inform you that you do not meet the eligibility requirements. We meet all the eligibility requirements

Profile: Age: 58 (Mother) Age: 64 (Father)
Documents submitted: Passport/Aadhar card
Marriage Affidavit
Property documents including recent Maintenance/Electricity Bills
Fixed Deposits
Mutual Funds Business

Documents: Business certificate, Letter Head, Visiting card, Bank statements
Funds proof: (40 lacs) in the statement, Mentioned 25000 in the profile (Money you have to stay in Canada)

Any suggestions to make changes or what might be the reason?

Is your brother 18 or younger? Were their funds liquid? If they are in mutual funds that wouldn’t count towards money they can use to support their travels.

What about other reasons like Properties and Business?

What was their reason for travel and how long have they requested to visit. Proof of property and business ownership can help an application. If you request a long visit that often negates the ties as a business owner because you can be away from the business for a long period of time.

Time of travel was 3 weeks only, in July 2023 and reason was to meet the daughter after 2 years and visit their newly bought house

Visiting a home is not really a good reason to travel. How much liquid funds did they show? Have they ever tried to relocate to Canada? How much liquid funds have they shown in their personal account (not business)? What is are your statuses in Canada?

Our Status is Permanent Residence in Canada. Liquid funds shows was around 40 lacs. They havent tried to relocate to Canada

Have they travelled before to Canada or other countries? Did you include return travel tickets with the application?

No, They haven't
ok... I have my parents visitor visa application in process now, I sort of submitted similar documents as you did (property docs, bank statement, FD etc. to show the financial and economic ties to India)... Only other thing I mentioned in the invitation letter was the fact that they have few international travel history and they went back to their home country and did not overstay. I also mentioned that my dad receives pension and that he has to present himself for life certificate every year in Nov. So they would be going back end of Sept after staying for 4 months over the summer months with us. Last time I processed their Visa (in 2014) I had included return travel ticket, but this time I didn't. Hopefully IRCC approves.

I would suggest you submit the application again and include justification and emphasize on the ties they have - social, economic and financial in India and that will drive them to go back and they will not overstay. Hopefully, they will acknowledge it and approve your application. Good luck.

btw, when did you submit your application?

Also, reach out to the local MPP in your city to intervene once you get the GCMS notes.

You should not purchase tickets in advance. The government actually specifies that you should not purchase tickets. Purchasing tickets does not help a TRV application.

MPPs can’t help. An MP would be the appropriate person to contact because they are part of the federal government but they can”t intervene in IRCC’s decisions. They can often provide information regarding reasons for refusal but that also can be obtained through GCMS notes. In situations where there is an emergency (like a death or hospitalization which is why the family member needs the TRV) or delay way past normal processing times an MP can contact IRCC to try flag the file for review.
