ON some forums, it says that they usually reply to emails within 48 hours. I wonder if it is true.

It's more than 7 weeks our file transferred to CPP-O.........still waiting for medical request. So, don't know what is going on? Last week I sent PCC, use of representative form and letter regarding status of my file still waiting for response......Any update on your file.........? Did you contact CPP-O......?
Hi Van80, nothing.. I contacted CPP-O but no response. I asked my local MP office to inquire for me, they told me its too early to inquire, but they did, and the current status is 'background checks ongoing (duration unknown)'. Nothing much I can do now, except waiting....
One of the call center agent informed me the same status around couple of weeks back.
Shuga, lol ;D
sponsorparents, did you submit your parents' PCC? I wonder if they do background checks without PCCs.

Van80, so did you send your PCCs without them asking?
What did you write in a cover letter? Did you put your parents' UCI on top of the cover letter?
Has Ottawa office got back you ..ever?

Yes, I sent PCC without request.

Cover letter, Sub: PCC for PR Application: F0000XXXX
CPP-O replied one my e-mail after two weeks saying.... your application is in process.

Thanks Van80,
How do you know your parent's PR application file number starting with "F"?
I never got this info.
When and from whom did you get it?
HOpe you will hear from them soon.

I did submit PCC in 2nd week of March. Call center agent was able to confirm that the PCCs (both parents) were added to the file.
Regarding application no. (starts with 'F'), you could find that on the email/letter you received from CPC-M saying you were approved as sponsor.

No, my letter doesn't have this number

It only has my UCI
I happened to know my mom's UCI from her visitor's visas.

Thanks, how the call center informed you about the background check.....I called couple times they told me; "we do not have access to CPP-O files, you can send e-mail to Ottawa or fax regarding your enquiry".

It’s on the letter I received from CPC-M saying you were approved as sponsor and your file is transferred to CPP-O for PR.

I know.. that is what I hear every time, but I tried.. tried.. tried.. one agent was able to 'somehow' pull this info, the agent was able to tell
1. current state of application
2. pcc added to file (including date)
But the agent kept me on hold for long time. I thought the agent might have checked with his manager/supervisor.
Later when I called again, I hear the same thing (do not have access to CPP-O files). I though I should confirm if the current status is right or not and approached MP office.
Yes, I did e-mail, fax to CPP-O but no response. I guess it might be because I am not a authorized rep. for my parents.

Yes, I did submit PCCs before CIC asking me to do so.
My wife applied for her parents, sisters and brother in March of 2007.
It finally went to the Visa Office in Singapore around Fall of 2011.
How long till now when we will have a decision from Singapore?
Anyone has experience with timeline when the application is forwarded to Singapore?
This process is so long and very stressful.
Usually how many years before there is a decision? I don't know how the federal government can get away with such long waiting period and lack of communication with the visa office.

Expect a letter this week stating your file has been approved and transferred to Ottawa or Delhi
For me, it was span of 1 day, Monday - Complete Letter, Tue - Approved Letter
User828 whats ur timeline. If u want to add it permanently, go to Profile<Forum profile information< then add all ur dates on that page
Getting approved letter depends on ur original date.
I applied in Jan 2009, got Complete letter Feb 29, but no approved letter as I am back in the queue.
So getting a letter depends on when u applied originally.

I got a letter from CIC today.
The application says "You application was received on Feb 15, 2012 and we have determined that your application is complete. Your application is now in processing queue and will be processed based on the date the complete application was received."
Can anybody ahead in the queue put some light on what this mean in terms of processing stage. Can I expect that my file would be transferred to Ottawa or Local Office soon?
Regards
I got this letter last Friday and haven't received anything else, and not changes in the online status too, just Application Received in both lines. so who knows, maybe each case is different. And my letter was sent at my old address, but my sister lives there, so it didn't get lost, even though I changed my address online and it's shown in the online status.
