Van80,

Looks like we have to wait more 3 to 4 yrs ........
Something is amiss. No mention of ppc/medicals? Perhaps the sponsor is not from the batch of those who recvd the Nov letter?

Does your letter mention anything about pcc/medicals? or does it just say that the sponsorship application is approved. Any next steps mentioned in that letter? Thanks in advance for sharing

It's just for sponsorship approval not mention pcc & medicals.

i will make a new thread for people who are sponsoring parents and share my experience about the process and tell people about which documents to collect first ..so you can just send the file when your case in opened..many people start getting documents when cic asks them..but some docs take long time to get(blame the system)..and hopefully it will be helpful to everyone..

Shuga,
I understand that we are from the same country :). Do you know if CPC-O or CPC-home country will ask for translated copies of the work book and diplomas/degrees from post-secondary institutions from parents?
I should probably tell my mom to notarize her workbook and university diploma, just in case.

and one more thing - from http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3999Etoc.asp

The certificate must have been issued no more than three months prior to submitting your application. If the original certificate is not in English or French, then you will need to submit both the certificate and the original copy of the translation prepared by an accredited translator.
:o great! My long story about getting the CPC from Kaz will be waste of time anyhow :o

application applied in CPC-M------------ 11 APRIL 2008.
ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS REQUESTED ON------ 30 NOV 2011.
DOCUMENTS SEND TO CPC-M---------------9 JAN 2012
STILL WAITING :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

i don't know :(
i'm waiting for the instructions from CPP-O... i'm not very concerned about working records/diplomas translation - i think the most time consuming part will be medicals so they will have time to translate/certify all other papers...

Do they ask for education certificates of parents? what if if they dont have it
