hello
thanks alot shuga for the reply i also want to ask if anyone knows about QUESTION# 7 IN IMM 008 FORM it asks that Have you received your Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ)?
a.Check the corresponding box NO OR YES
b.If you checked “Yes”, please indicate the CSQ number
c.If you checked “No”, indicate the date when you applied for your CSQ
I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT TO ANSWER HERE AS SHOULD I CHECK YES OR NO AS BOTH OF THEM DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO ME BECAUSE I DONT LIVE IN QUEBEC so if you guys also dont live there so what you guys did with this question i appreciate your reply
take care
If you never lived in quebec, you have to select No. As soon as you select NO, other fields will grey out.
For Imm008, you have to validate the form before you print it out. When you print out, make sure the greyed out fields are evident in the print out.
hello Sanj99
how r u dear
it is nice of u to reply
i appreciate
as YOU SAID YOU ARE REPRESENTING YOUR PARENTS SO DOES IT MEAN YOU HAD TO FILL THE FORM FOR THE REPRESENTATIVE OR WE DONT HAVE TO AS I AM ALSO SAME I AM ALSO FILLIG FORMS AND DOING FOR MY PARENTS DO I HAVE TO FILL ANY FORM TO LET CIC KNOW OR HOW IT WORKS
THANKS ALOT
as I saw in the document checklist they ask for the paperwork proving the relationship of a parent to a sponsor, but they never request the actual proof - like the birth certificate of the sponsor showing that he/she related to the sponsored person. Any ideas?

We did submit my birth certificate with our initial application, but we also noticed that in the document checklist under section 7 they say "Proof of Relationship to Sponsor in Canada - Identity and Civil Status Documents". What is considered to be the proof then?

i agree that the name of the section is confusing - it sounds like they are asking for the documents to proof the relationship, but the documents in the list are birth/marriage certificates and national IDs for parents... i was also not sure about this section - so i sent birth certificates of my parents and MY birth certificate (even if i already sent it before) just in case...
Same here .... so many documents, I spent $250 only on the notary public ....
Hopefully I will be approved soon, then my mom will have to wait 19 more months to be processed back home ... it takes so long.

as far as I heard they transfer the case to the home country visa office only if they require more info, so if your case is straightforward they might complete it in Ottawa just in a few months. Fingers crossed.
Hmm...I actually filled out the form, There is an option there:1. your representative is a lawyer and 2. your representative is a family member. So I checked "Family Member" and put my own name there.
I don't think it was wrong to do it (?)
yes. But I included mine again with this package. Just in case.
Also, my last name is now different from my last name in birth certificate. So I submitted a matrix with all name changes and flows (for myself and for my mom), together with all marriage/divorce certificates etc.
