Received biometrics on Monday and sponsor ineligibility on Wednesday. IRCC made a clerical error while assessing my income eligibility. They used the same NOA for 2021 and 2022, which resulted in $2,000 less for the 2022 minimum income required, even though my income was more than the MNI by $30,000 for 2022. Also, the file was transferred from the Mississauga office to the Montreal office. I called an agent, and he asked me to send a webform and mail all NOAs with an explanation letter. Sent webform on Wednesday and Mailed docs which reached Montreal office on Friday morning.
We have been asked to provide additional docs for my parents since the are from India , documents like Aadahar card, voter id card, ration card.
My parents do have an issue where some spelling mistakes were made in those documents and since it was not a big deal it was not fixed.
But now when submitting these documents to CIC how do i explain about the spelling errors, i know affidavits are not accepted , is there any way around it? if anyone has any experience please share.
So..update. The dream is over for us. Turns out they had reached out to us on Nov 6 for some replacement documentation. We didn't receive any emails or physical letters. So it's now past 30 days and they've rejected the application.
This part scares me the most: Employment/School Letter: For the last two years provide letter(s) of employment or contract(s) from Canadian employer(s), and/or letter(s) of acceptance for Canadian educational institute(s).
It asks letters only from "Canadian" employer or "Canadian" educational institutes, neither applies to me.

My parents lived in Qatar from 1996-1997 but we can’t find their old passports with the visas which is a requirement for police certificates from the Qatar embassy. We called the embassy and they said we have to send in an application to them anyways with a letter. They will then forward our request to the Qatari police in Qatar and it will take 3 months to get a response if they can issue a police certificate or not.
if we show proof of our efforts to obtain this police certificate and explain the lost passports etc will IRCC grant us an exception?
paid via Canadian payroll in CAD and yes, however, it's not US income per se. My contract mentions fully remote, location in Canada. Do you think if it matters where the employer is located if I am located in Canada? From my perspective, residency is listed as the requirement for sponsorship, and the location of employer shouldn't matter.
Hi, I have a question and hoping someone can help me. I am the sponsor and my wife is the co-sponsor. Our Canadian passports have less than 6 months left on them. We are still awaiting AOR for our parents' PGP application. Some countries do not allow to travel unless you have 6 months of validity left on your passport. Should we renew our passports now or wait for AOR first and then renew? Does our passport numbers changing have an impact on the PGP application of our parents?
