I was wondering, if the process is so long, should I apply for a tourist visa for my parents in the meantime? We've been rejected twice for a tourist visa, and once for a supervisa.

Hi - I will suggest you exercise a little patient -you are almost there - Just wait for the right timing .

It will take another longer time to get the Tourist Visa approved and may not worth the Hazzle

I'm unable to link my application to the the IRCC account. I have tried all options and have provided the accurate information for the primary applicant. Is there a phone number I call?

if you have both parents. under number of people, you need to enter 3. include yourself as well.

I wouldn't. We applied for tourist visa in May 2024 and still nothing. despite the processing time officially saying 50 days

Oct 2020 - Interest to Sponsor sent
May 22nd - ITA received
May 27th - application submitted
July 10th - email to resubmit imm5604e
July 11th - Re-submitted imm5604e
Oct 3rd - I had to re-submit 5476e REP form ( this was preventing me from linking application)
Oct 4th - received AOR and PCC
Oct 19th - Submitted, renewed passport + 2 x PCC for both parents
Dec 12th - received biometric request for both parents
Dec 13th - received letter for Invitation to Pre-arrival services for one parent

hope that helps and as I see here on forum, the progress is all over the place.

it says " We are currently processing your application for permanent residency." and has a link to https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...nts/new-life-canada/pre-arrival-services.html

Honestly, I never heard of such a letter and not sure what to make of it, so I will sit tight & wait
