Hi all, the PGP invitation number that I got when I applied in October 2020 has only numbers and not a combination of numbers and letters. Is this normal? Is anyone else in this forum with a similar invitation number? I feel that IRCC messed up with my invitation and if that is correct, I should be taking action rather than waiting. Someone, please confirm.

I have the same predicament as you. I only have a numbers and no combination of letters. This could be the reason why they never pick me

Well, if you also have a similar confirmation number then most likely IRCC DID NOT mess up. We just need to wait.

One of my friend just got the email but he do not have enough income to qualify for one of the year, can he only send application for 1 parent ? anyone ? or letter of explanation because he was on Mat leave.

There are people waiting to get pr approved but had applied in 2018, 2019, 2020. Have read about cases where the last 3 years of income from when medical is requested is looked at. So depending on how long the case takes and which year the friend's income didn't qualify for he or she may be eligible if 2024 income turns out to be over the minimum for this year. Vancouver office is the slowest so if the friend is from BC the chances are that sponsorship eligibility may not be processed till first quarter of 2025. Just make sure 2024 taxes are filed at the earliest (assuming this year's income will be over the line).
In other words worth giving a shot as it indeed is a lottery to get selected in the PGP program. Hence not worth missing it. Take professional advice if need be.

No, not possible. No point applying.

Not trying to assume anything but mine starts with 16 and never got picked. What pissed me off is that they can't tell me whether I'm still in the pool or not.

Ha same! Such random guesswork.

Also the agony of waiting a week+ to see if this gamble played out of not.

7 years and counting in the program. Really questioning whether I should have settled in Canada or gone to the US.

Yes,, that is the problem. any ways to find out as emails records are not reliable?

how about next year's policy? still drawing from the same 2020 pool? have to think about the worst. Not sure if it will change when the government changes after election.

What is your invitation number starts with? Is it from cpcmississauga email?
