I'm from Indian and filling up the PGP application. I don't see IRRC asking for PCC in the portal. I'm reading here people talking about the PCC. Could someone please let me know if pcc is summitted with the application?
Hi everyone,
I am preparing the documents to sponsor my Parents as finally received invitation letter.
I have a question:
I was separated from my ex in early 2021 . Our divorce finalized in June 2022. Should I add him to calculate the family size for those two years??? I am eligible financially in the last 3 years to support my parents and myself but he was not a part of family in anyway since 2021.
I appreciate if you have any ideas about that?
I am filling out the online application on behalf of my parents and have few doubts:
1) For "My Profile" tab, I have filled in my mother as PA and father as dependent. Do I have to include my brother and sisters details here even if they are over 22 years old? Do I have to include my name too here?
2) Again, for IMM 008, do I have to include my siblings info even though they are over 22 years old?
3) Also, online application help on IRCC says to include all dependents whether Canadian PR/Citizen or not but inside the application under IMM 008 it says include only who are not Canadian PR/Citizen. What is correct?
On the representative issue - it appears the portal is for paid representatives only. If we are representing parents, do we have to show receipt of a nominal payment? What am I missing here? https://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/rep/login

Hi there, me again.. no you can omit them all. Just that your parents won't be able to sponsor them (I think I read it somewhere it categorically stating that) but they cannot do so for the next five years anyway. A sponsored person cannot sponsor for 5 years. Hope it helps!
This is incorrect information. All siblings should be mentioned in the additional family members form. They won't be sponsored but that's part of IRCC's requested background information of PA and dependents over 18 (but under 22 years old).
It's NOT about the 5 years wait AT ALL.
Provide as much information as you can (or the parent can recall) and include a letter of explanation. IRCC don't usually contact additional family members.
But omitting can be seen as misrepresentation.
Hi , my sister made a mistake when applying for her visitor visa . She accidentally mentioned that my parents were married but one of my parents was already deceased. Her visa has already been granted and now on her work permit. Now I am applying for my mom I need to mention my dad deceased during that time. Is there any way to correct this for my sister or how should I apply? Also I am in such a situation that if I don’t apply because of this I will loose this opportunity and if I apply I have a fear that they may go through my sister application back in 2022. Please advise.

IMM 0008 ONLY put in PA and dependent info (e.g. your mother as PA, your father as dependent). Since your siblings are over 22 years old, DO NOT include them in IMM 0008.
For both your dad and your mother, each will need to fill the additional family form. In that form, include everyone in the list for their parents, children (all ages and all PR/citizen status) and siblings.
1) NO

3) that online help is confusing. I hope that IRCC fixes it soon.
Hey guys thanks for opening this thread. I received the invite to apply for my parents after 4 years. trying to fill up the forms. some doubts: is national identity document required if you already have passport? I was under the impression that you only need that if you dont have a passport, like refugees etc. if needed, what constitutes that in India? Aadhaar card??

If the PA has a national identity document, then fill in that section of the form. It's NOT the same as a passport and every applicant/dependent of this application should have a passport. So the national ID is for a different identity document (other than passport).

Thanks YYR123... I quoted based on the experience of two of my family friends one from PGP 2022 and one visitor visa in 2023. So, in that light it is not completely incorrect plus one of them went without it in the end cause it was mentioned something like -failing to declare now will result in you not being able to sponsor them in future- as opposed to it can delay the process or your file will be rejected. I do agree with you that LOE should be included rather than leaving it blank or N/A.
Hi Everyone, Quick question on PGP application. What is to be submitted if parents don't have birth & marriage certificate? Will an affidavit from lawyer work from outside canada?

If I remove the dependents(my siblings) from profile page, then I won't be able to add them under Additional Family info IMM 5406 as dependents info is retrieved from My Profile page. How do I handle this now? I'm not sure how others did this right :/

You are not adding more IMM 5406 forms for your siblings as dependents.
You will be filing in 1 IMM 5406 for your mother and 1 for your father.
And inside these forms, your siblings are listed under children. (including yourself)
