Hey anyone submitted their Parents PR file in Aug 2024 received anything yet?…I didn’t receive anything after submitting their file in aug 2024

you need to read earlier messages. lot of people received lot of notifications

on Nov 29th I received email for permanent residence portal, in which i submitted my mother's photo and address because she is in Canada she will directly get eCOPR and since then it just shows in review with IRCC. It's been more than 60 days. Is anyone with the similar situation?

Hi there, did your parents medical got updated in GCKey? My parents did on January 30, 2025m still not updated in the GCkey.

These things aren’t always immediate especially for seniors who often need a health worker to review their medicals. That can take over a month. More tests may be required including TB testing.

I agree with @canuck78 , in case of seniors it could be slow like not-moving-at-all slow. It has been literally over 6 months that I and a few others in this forum have submitted the PGP application and have not received as much as an ADR. That said, I undersand since the other steps happened in timely manner rather fast, then one thinks why this last one is taking time!?!

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share my timeline

May 24th - ITA
June 26th - Application submitted
Sept 9th - ADR
Oct 8th - Additional documents submitted
Oct 23rd - AOR+ PCC request
Oct 30th - PCC submitted
Jan 29th - Biometric request
Jan 30th- Biometric submitted
Jan 30th- Med request for just my mother(Principal applicant)
Feb 1st- Medical done
Feb 5th- Application to sponsor met the eligible criteria and my parent's file was moved to CPC Mississauga.

Now, my question is that both my parent's did a medical examination in 2023 when I had applied for their visitor visa extension. But, I got the request for medical examination for just my mother who is also the principal applicant. So, should I wait for my father's medical examination request or did they consider the medical results from 2023 for my father?
I tried contacting IRCC, but the officer couldn't tell me for sure if my father's medical would be requested in future or not. So, should I go for an upfront medical for my father or wait for IRCC to contact me for the same?

Finally received AOR. However, only my dad’s name is mentioned in the letter as sponsored family member, not my mom. My dad is the principal applicant and mom is also applying as dependent. Is that okay? Is it also like this for those who have the AOR? Thank you!

Hi! Congrats on the progress of your application. Question pls, in your AOR letter, is it only your mom’s name that is shown (as applicant) or both of your parents? I’m worried since in my AOR only my dad’s name is stated (he is principal applicant, but my mom is applying too as dependent). Thank you!

Hi,
Thank you and congratulations on getting the AOR. The AOR letter only mentions my mom's name who is the principal applicant and not my dad's name who is a dependent! I hope this helps you.

PGP is not a priority and has typically had very slow processing. People have unrealistic expectations. There will be typically long periods of time with no movement.
