Hi, as of now it does not look like new express of interest will open. In May 2024 they will invite 37500 from the pool of 2019

Hey guys, for those who are sponsoring their mom and dad and received request for form 5406. Did you get two separate emails or just one email? I only got one email and is asking for form 5406 to be sent again for the main applicant only (my dad).

just making sure that there is no another email that I missed. Because they are only asking for my dad to submit the 5406 again.

I am one of the people who are baffled by ircc’s decision to continue to draw from the same 2020 pool. HOWEVER, something seemed to have changed this year. In previous years the PGP process of those years would be announced and drew in later half of those years, sometimes even very close to end of year. Yet, this year they are doing that in April-May…that leads me to think there may be another pool to be formed later in the year in prep for 2025 PGP or some process like that. So, I would stay put and keep an eye out for any news in later half of the year.

Well, the "covid delays" years are also coincidentally the years since the 2020 pool. Also I don't think there's actual evidence to suggest they did draws later in those years due to the pandemic.

The letter also had an application number. We haven't heard anything yet after that. I tried linking the application to GCKey but the application wasn't found.

Can anyone please guide?

Same here.
I dont have the application number, It says we can link using name and date of birth . However my moms passport the last name is blank and it has only given name.
The GCkey requires both. I tried all entering the same for Surname and given names , it didnt work. Any one else who had the same issue

i am in same boat. i have application number but unable to link. if i select application number and family name, it shows application number is not related to category selected. Category selected is PR and sub cateogory is family class: parents and grandparents.
