Hi guys,
Our PA has received her passport with "IM-1" visa in it, along with the CoPR papers.
Noticed that the previous visitor's visa has not been crossed, stamped or otherwise cancelled or invalidated - is it their normal practice? So to say, PA can then decide, whether to travel as a tourist, or as a PR? Or will they figure it out at POE immigration desk as soon as PA submits the CoPR?
Thanks!

Visitor visa is still valid until PA landed with the CoPR at the border.

That's what I thought, just interesting to have two valid visas at the same time. For some reason, I thought the older one would have been crossed. But it makes sense. Kind of
Thanks!
Hello everyone, I have finally received PCC request for parents. The letter stated that I could either email the certificates or uploade them to IRCC account.
They needed PCC from two countries, Qatar and Pakistan. I have emailed them alongwith the instruction letter. However, I see that the IRCC account is under "action required" status. I figured I should uploade them there.
However, under my father's name (PA), it has two spots to upload the certificates. I am assuming one is for Pakistan and the other for Qatar. However, there is no option to upload them for my mother. Under her name, it says optiona documents but there is no option to upload them. What do I do?
Please n thank you!

One thing I could do is have PCC from Pakistan and Qatar in one file for my father and one file for my mother and upload both files under my father's option and name the files clearly indicating which one is for which parent. The only issue with that in the drop down to select the country of issue and issue date etc. I can only select one country. I am guessing I should just choose the primary country of residence and hope that they will realize that I could only select one country. Suggestions?
I’m getting so frustrated. It’s been 21 months for my application. PCC submitted over a month ago and radio silence
Sorry to post here too. But I am panicking. Hi everyone! It has been a while since I last visited this forum. Please help. My in-laws who we sponsored 2022 finished their application and got their CoPR last May 2024. My question is us my husband who is the sponsor is changing address this month, and my in-laws are landing November do I need to inform IRCC for the new address or my in-laws would just need to inform the IO in Vancouver the change of address. Because the CoPR they have on hand would be our previous address come November. Anyone who had an experience with this. Thank you guys!

Congratulations on the completing the PR process of your in-laws.
Absolutely, there’s nothing to worry about as the their latest address will only be required when they arrive Canada in November.
So when your in-laws land in Canada by November, as part of the standard landing procedures; they will be required to provide a valid Canadian address where their PR cards will be mailed to. This is the point where they will provide your husband’s new mailing address. Therefore, no need to start contacting IRCC or any visa office for it address change now. I hope that helps, good luck!

I wouldn’t worry about that so much provided all the required documentation are provided. It is left for IRCC to find all the uploads.
In addition to GCKey account upload; if you still want to go the extra mile; you can merge all the PCCs as a single file and submit them again via webform.
Whatever the case, you’re on point; good luck!
I was able to link the app in GCkey account and it shows "We are processing your application." in the status, but I have not received the AOR. Is this something to be concerned about?
There is nothing to be concerned about. IRCC will always notify you for the next steps. Patience is a virtue in this process. I hope the process speeds up for everyone, good luck!

Thank you. You know how it is. It is so easy to overthink these things since the stakes are so high! anyway,I ended up uploading them under my father's with files clearly labelled for both of my parents. I have previously emailed them too. Hopefully that should suffice.

Create one merged PDF file including police certificates from Qatar and Pakistan and do add a cover page mentioning that this file contains both police certificates as requested.
Principal applicant documents is the place where you will upload for both (that is why given two places). One for father and one for mother.
DO NOT ADD BOTH FOR FATHER.
I will suggest just to add a cover letter for each even just one line saying " Please find the attached police certificates issued from Qatar and Pakistan".
