Hi guys,

From your experience, how did you submit attachments over 5 Mb? I understand we should try to compress everything, but if all options are depleted to the point where it becomes totally illegible, what did you do?

They have requested a document which is a lot of pages. Along with translation, it cannot be compressed any further.

Did you send separate documents in different e-mails? Did you you have to explain this was part 1, that was part 2, etc.? Did it work after all?

Thanks,
Roman

I submitted documents in separate emails to make sure they are not over 5MB. They asked for relationship proof with my Father and also some IMM form which was 3 MB so I sent 3 separate emails with the documents.

I could not link my parents' application for the longest time because I was using #4.
I am the sponsor. = 1
My wife is NOT a sponsor. = 0
and my parents = 2
I finally tried #3 and it worked! I also used the details of my father. E.g. his place of birth. His country of passport. His intended city of residence in Canada (per the application). I hope it helps.
Thanks this was very helpful! I had the same problem and was able to get it linked using the same approach.
However, I'm not able to see any updates on eCAS. Have you had any luck with it?

Hello. I just check my Gckey account and it shows

Hi All, we just received PPR. My parents are not in Canada. Their passports have to submitted to VFS Global. I have 3 questions:

1) I see people mentioning portal 1 and portal 2 emails. What are these?

2) In the PPR Letter, they asked us to provide the height and eye color. But there is no form to fill out. Should we just write it in a word document and print it?

3) How much time will IRCC provide for landing? Is it true that the expiry of the landing visa is 1 year from the date of medical exam?

Thanks for all your help guys! Wishing each one of you the very best!!

I am glad it worked! You're welcome.
No, eCAS hasn't worked for me thus far.

IRCC requested additional documents on July 9th and sent all documents on 12th July by email. Now over a month but now response? Can someone share how long it takes to hear back from them at this stage? Thanks in advance

My parents' medical was done in July. I am currently waiting on IRCC to ask for police clearance. Could I proactively arrange it and upload to the portal? Is that a thing? Or should I must wait for IRCC to ask before I arrange it and provide to IRCC?

Yes you can start the process coz the PCC is valid for 6 months and IRCC gives you 30 days to provide it, you can ask for an extension if it is taking longer.

Just posted this in the PGP 2024 thread but got no response in a couple days so trying here for anyone that's been through the process:

So something weird happened today (August 13th). My parents received an email from IRCC saying "we've updated your application". I login to the IRCC portal, both of my parents super visa applications have been updated with "Your eligibility has been reviewed" for today's date. (Their super visas were approved last september, in fact, my dad's super visa has already expired as his passport only had 7 months of validity left so that's what his super visa was approved for). Just for clarification, I submitted the PGP application on July 15th.

In the "Details about application status" section for both Super Visas I see:

Review of eligibility
  • August 13, 2024 Your eligibility has been reviewed. Please see the final decision below.

Does this mean that something is going on with the PGP application? In the PR portal, the PGP application status is still "submitted". Just weird that they're long approved super visa applications received a random update. Anyone else seen this by any chance?

I'm hoping that it means they're reviewing my application and just confirming the super visa application was legit but no idea.
