I would advise you to renew it first (pay for an expedited process if there is one in your country) then when the PPR comes and your Mom’s PP isn’t renewed yet, you can request IRCC for an extension of deadline to submit PP.

I just found out you can renew your passport 1 year prior to expiry date in India. I was under the impression that it was 6 months. If I would have known, we must have renewed it. I will renew it in tatkal. Do you know how do they do police verification within three business days as thats the total processing time of tatkal?

Hello friend, congratulations. I also got a letter asking for passports. I have one question if you can help please - The letter is addresses to my mother who is primary applicant and my dad is accompanying dependent. When I am applying on VFS website for passport submission appointment in Jalandhar VAC, it is asking to upload the first page of passport request letter for both applicants. Should I upload the same letter even if it is not addressed to my dad and his name is not mentioned anywhere in that letter. However, this is what is mentioned in the letter:

a. If your passport is from a country whose citizens need a visa to travel to Canada, you will need to submit original passport(s) for you and each accompanying family member. Your passport(s) should be valid for at least 6 months and have at least two blank pages. If a child is included on your passport, you must have one blank page per accompanying child.

Do we get one passport request letter for multiple applicants or separate? Thanks a lot for the help.

Hi, can you point me in the direction aswell? Did you send both passports or just one? if you sent two, did you just put both of them in an envelope.

Anyone here still yet to receive an AOR?

I submitted the PGP application end of October 2023. No AOR yet, but there was an additional documents request a month ago.

Am I the outlier? Or are there others in a similar situation?

Also would appreciate any advice on how to get things moving. I tried the MP route already, in it didn't help much. Everytime, I call IRCC they say 24 months processing timeline and nothing more.

could you please let me know the expiry date mentioned in the counterfoil as well as COPR? I would love to know if it is the same as medical expiry date or they have given only 6 months validity to land in Canada.

Pls can you tell me how to link the application with GCKEY with XF number.

XF is temporary number. it will change. also try linking through different option. another thing to look for is to put family member as 3 (2 for parents and 1 for you) or 4 (2 for parents and 2 for you and your spouse (if co-sponsor). do not add any kid. try different combination.
